THE VERY REV. CANON EVANS OMOLLO

The Very Reverend Canon Evans Omollo is the Provost of All Saints’ Cathedral, Nairobi. Evans committed to following Jesus as a teenager in 1996. He was made a deacon in 2004 and ordained a priest in 2005 in the Anglican Diocese of Bondo. He holds a Higher Diploma in Theology from Carlile College (2004) BA in Cross-Cultural Mission (2008) and MA in Mission with Leadership (2009) both from All Nations Christian College, UK. He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies at St Paul’s University, Limuru in Missional Ecclesiology.
After training, Evans served at St Michael and All Angels’ Cathedral, Bondo from 2004 to 2006 then went abroad for further studies. Upon his return to Kenya in 2009, he had a short stint in teaching theology at Bishop Okullu College of Theology and Development in Bondo from January 2010 to February 2011. He served as Provincial Mission Director for the Anglican Church of Kenya between March 2011 and August 2016. He was appointed Assistant Provost of All Saints’ Cathedral, Nairobi in September 2016, a position he held until his appointment and Installation as fourteenth Provost of the Cathedral on 9 th July 2023.
Evans is married to Dr Sellina Omollo (a nutritionist by training) and they are blessed with three children – Eleanor Mor (b. July 2012), Ezra Hono (b. April 2015) and Ebony Hera (b. September 2016). Evans has a passion for expository preaching and believes that the meaningful growth of the church is directly proportionate to members’ personal spiritual growth.
Rev. James Kanyi

Rev. Maj James Kanyi Mwangi is the Assistant Provost at All Saints’ Cathedral. He has a Bachelor’s in Bible & Theology from Pan Africa Christian University
(PACU) (2007) and Master’s in Practical Theology (Pastoral Studies) from Africa International University (2012). James is also a trained and commissioned Military officer.
He began his Ministry in 1998 as an Evangelist at St. James & All Martyrs Memorial Cathedral Murang’a, then became the Pioneer Vicar in Kiria-ini Parish, Diocese of Mt Kenya Central in 2003, and in 2005, a Curate at All Saints’ Cathedral Parish transitioning into the AC Chaplain Ministry of State for Defence (KDF) in 2007.
James is married to Carol and is blessed with two teenage boys (Dan and Tonny), and a 10-year-old daughter (Subira). James is a trained mechanic and an excellent cook.
James gave his life to Christ on 29th Dec 1990 and has anchored his faith in (Acts 17:26) “From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.”
Rev. Joseph Kamau

Year ordained: I was made Deacon in 26th January 2013 and ordained Priest on the eve of Maundy Thursday (17th April 2014)
Education: I have a Bachelor of Divinity from St Pauls University and currently pursuing Master of Theology (MTh) in systematic theology from the same university.
Churches/dioceses served, and the years served there: Was 1st posted as a deacon to Christ Church parish in Westlands in 2013, however upon priesting, I served for 5 months in the same parish and on 1st September 2014 was posted to All Saints Cathedral Parish as a curate till to date..
Family: I am married to Anne Kamau and we have been blessed with 2 children, Gad Kamau and Jonah Kamau.

Rev. Josephine Ngahu
Position: HOD: Leadership Department

Rev Josphine Ngahu serves as the HoD, Leadership Department. She was made a Deacon in 2004 and Priested in 2005 here in the Cathedral.
She holds a Diploma in Theology from Berea Theological College, Bachelors of Divinity from St Paul’s University, and Masters of Development from St Paul’s University. She is currently pursuing a PHD in Organisational Leadership Development at Atlantic International University, USA.
Josephine served first in St Thomas Dagoretti (2005-2007), then St Luke’s Kenyatta (2008-2009), Christ the King Ngando (2009-2010), St Joseph Kabete ( 2010- 2012), St Augustine Madaraka (2012-2014) and then came to Cathedral in the year 2014.
Nevertheless, she wears many hats. Other than being a passionate Pastor, Josephine is a wife to Chris and a mother to Moses and Aaron. Despite that, during her free time, Josephine like; knitting, reading, cooking, travelling and singing. She believes that her purpose in life is to equip, empower and encourage individuals for better living.

Rev. Jandson Njoroge
Position: HOD: Worship and Hospital Chaplaincy

Rev. Jandson Njoroge serves as the Head of the Department, Worship & Hospital Chaplaincy. He holds a Degree in Business Administration (2017) and a Diploma in Theology ( 2005) from St. Paul’s University. He is currently Pursuing A Master’s in Business Administration (St. Paul’s University) and clinical Pastoral Education at Servants of the Sick Training Center, Nairobi. Rev. Jandson was made Deacon in December 2021 and ordained into Priesthood in December 2023.
He is married to Mary Njeri and blessed with three children: Joseph, Emmanuel and Samuel and anchors himself in 1 Corinthians 15: 58.

Rev. Alfred Apela

Designation: HoD, Evangelism and Outreach
Years served in the Holy Orders: Ordained into the Holy Order of Deacons in October 2008 and later Priested in May 2009.
Education: Commissioned as a Church Army Captain and then graduated at Carlile College with a Higher Diploma in Theology (HDip.Th) 6th October 2007. Alfred also holds a Bachelors degree in Divinity (BD) from St. Paul’s University
Family: Happily married to Grace Apela and blessed with two children Judah and Joy.
Service: Served at A.C.K. St. Joseph Kabete as an evangelist got attached and served at A.C.K. Hope Celebration Church 2006. Served A.C.K. St. Francis Church in Karen Nairobi, as a Curate in September 2008, then later Joined All Saints Cathedral Nairobi in September 2012.

Rev. Ignitius Malimo

Year ordained: I was made Deacon in year 2007 and in 2009 was ordained Priest.
Education: I have a Bachelor’s Degree In Theology from Africa International University.
Churches/Dioceses served and the years served there. I first served in the Diocese of Eldoret as the Youth and Children Priest (DYO) from 2007-2011. Between 2012-2017, I served as Curate and Priest in Charge Youth, Teens, and Sunday School Ministry at St. Matthews Cathedral Eldoret before joining the Cathedral on 1st September 2017.
Family: I got married to Sylvia Ann in April 2014.

Rev. Edwin Masai
Position: Deaf Minister

Rev Edwin Masai Maling’a, is the Deaf minister. He has a Certificate in Theology from St. Paul’s Theological collage, Kapsabet (2013), is trained in leadership at DOOR International, Nairobi (2016), and Counselling at Uganda Institute of Family Counselling, 2023. He is currently at The New Hope Bible College for a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies.
Edwin became the Curate at ACK St. Luke’s Cathedral, Kitale, and became a Deacon, in 2016. He was ordained in 2017 and served as a Deaf Minister under the Diocese of Kitale in 2022 and later transitioned to All Saints’ Cathedral to serve as the Deaf Minister in December 2022.
He is married to Hilda Wamalwa and together have two children, Faith Cherotich Masai and Gift Kipkorir Masai. His favourite verse is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Edwin’s mission is to train both the deaf and the hearing communities on how to read and understand the word of God through sign language.
Rev. Capt. Alice Kariuki

I am a holder of Bachelor of Theology Honours (Theology and Development) from University of KwaZulu- Natal South Africa and Masters in Theology (Counselling option) from St Paul’s University Limuru. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Marriage and family therapy at Pan Africa Christian University.
Ministry: I have served in the children ministry for over 10 years in the Anglican Church as well as at New Dawn Kenya (running a children Mentorship program). I am passionate about children and I believe in serving children with excellence for indeed Matt 19:14 says “let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” we can learn a lot from them especially on how to be authentic Christians.

She is anchored in Acts 20:24 “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”
