Main mandate:

To review the activities done by the children’s ministry with a view of recommending improvements and guiding on best practices for the ministry.

Composition:

Headed by children minister. The secretary is the coordinator. Parents and Sunday School teachers are members. Some of them are professionals in areas that are helpful for the ministry.

Congregational Service

To facilitate Anglican church planting within the Nairobi metropolitan

Activities:

1. Plant churches and support church planting in areas where there are no Anglican Churches

1. Scripture Readers: The ministry ensures that those who read scriptures during the worship services are trained and equipped to read scripture during the worship services.
2. Prayer: The objective is to raise the profile for personal and corporate prayers. The mobilizes the church for communal prayers including Kesha’s, Prayer Retreats and campaigns, and weekly Wednesday morning (virtual) and evening (physical) prayers.
3. Cathedral Guild: The Ministry’s objective is to conserve the fabric of the Cathedral worship places. Tasked with decorating the sanctuaries for Sunday Services and other special services, cleaning the Altar linen, and the communion vessels. Polishing the silver items and mending of prayer and hymn books.
4. Ushers & Courtesy: Mandated to ensure that a welcoming environment is created for the congregation and visitors. The team also ensures that there is safety and security for the congregants. The team welcomes the Cathedral visitors and ensures that follow-up is done.
5. Choirs: The Choirs lead the congregation in worship during Worship services, special services, and feasts through hymns and anthems. The Ministry also trains and equips choristers and instrumentalists through the School of Music.
6. Deaf Ministry: Its mandate is to nurture spiritual and Christian growth among students in all Universities and Colleges in and around Nairobi City by creating an open forum where they can discuss the issues facing the youth.
7. Praise Teams: The ministry leads praise and worship sessions (Contemporary Gospel music) during Sunday services, concerts, and other events within the Cathedral, led and advised by the Assistant Music Director.
8. Lay Readers: The Lay Readers support the clergy in leading worship services, preaching, teaching and administration of the Holy Communion.

To design charters, policies, and documents.

Activities:

1. To design charters, policies and documents to ensure that there are clear guidelines in delivery of ministry, that there are clear codes of conduct for all volunteers and that ministry (and related) decisions are made based on existing laws and regulations.

Advocacy: To promote effective engagement with national & county leadership.

Activities:

1. Quarterly meetings to debrief and advice Provost/PCC on how to engage with the national issues relevant to the Cathedral.
2. Engagement with county and National government of legislative and advocacy issues touching on the interests of the Church as a whole.
3. Hosting an annual Leaders Accountability Forum

To build partnerships and to strengthen our national, regional, and international linkages for a wider impact of ASC’s ministry.

Activities:

1. Facilitate exchange programs within the Cathedral.

To develop the Cathedral School of Leadership and Ministry.

1. Run leadership development programs using the developed curriculum within the Cathedral.

To identify, train, and coach ministry leaders and volunteers to develop their skills and knowledge, build on their existing strengths, and address gaps and weaknesses to make the ministries more effective.

1. Cell Groups: Cell groups are domiciled in 4 zones that spread across the city and its environs. There are weekly/biweekly/monthly cell group meetings, cell group leaders’ meetings/fellowships/trainings held every quarter.
2. Theological Education by Extension (TEE): Organized in small groups that identify a TEE book of study every 3 months with one-month breaks in between. The sessions are held in person or online.
3. Alpha Course: A 12-week program that explores questions of faith, life and God.
4. Prayer Course: 7 weeks program that unpacks the lessons of the Lord’s Prayer.
5. Ombi: A nine-week journey of making prayer an adventure, exploring different aspects of prayer.
6. Marriage Outreach Ministry (MOM): Holds monthly and annual programs/seminars/conferences to build up marriages, supports pre-marital 10-week classes every quarter, supports the 7 weeks Marriage course.
7. Men’s Ministry Programs: KAMA weekly/monthly activities, Men’s Mentorship, Boys to Men Initiation Program.
8. Women Ministry Programs: MU weekly/monthly activities, Adili (a 6-month mentorship program), Widows Ministry activities, Single Mothers ministry activities, Trinity Ladies activities, Ezer Program.
9. Financial Discipleship Program: 6-week journey of Building Finances God’s Way.

1. Sacraments/Catechism:  Catechism classes for baptism and Confirmation candidates are held at least every quarter.
2. Counselling: Counseling sessions for individuals and families are available at request. Mental health workshops are held at least every quarter.
3. Senior Citizens: Monthly aerobics, and visitations to senior citizens, at least quarterly workshops/seminars.
4. TEE: 10-week studies held every three months, TEE groups outreach programs held every quarter, and annual get-together.
5. Special Ability / Deaf Ministry: Ongoing activities to cater for the pastoral and discipleship needs of members with disabilities.
6. SACCO: Membership available to all registered Cathedral members.
7. Membership: Membership classes are held at least every quarter for those who are not registered members.
8. Clergy Visitations: Held as scheduled/required in homes and hospitals.

Capacity Building: To identify, train, and coach ministry leaders and volunteers to develop their skills and knowledge, build on their existing strengths, and address gaps and weaknesses to make the ministries more effective.

Activities:

1. Promote and support outreach to all generations.
2. Create and build networks with like-minded institutions.
3. Marshal, equip, and send Cathedral members for missions.

1. Young Professionals: Our activities aim to provide spiritual growth, personal and professional development, service opportunities, and social engagement tailored to the unique needs of young adults in their 20s and 30s. We also encourage and promote honesty, transparency, integrity, and accountability in the marketplace.
2. Trinity Couples: Our ministry focuses on strengthening and supporting married and committed couples through various engagement activities aimed at enhancing their relationships, deepening their spiritual connection, and providing a sense of community within the church ecosystem.
3. G2G’s:  The G2Gs (Growing together Groups) also known as the youth cell groups were formed to foster a sense of fellowship, community, accountability, and personal spiritual growth among the congregation, away from the church. Members meet regularly for discussions, Bible study, and prayer in smaller, intimate, personalized settings.
4. Tuesday Physical Bible Study: We bring together youth to study the word of God so that they can grow spiritually individually and communally through interactive discussions, held physically in church every Tuesday evening.
5. Thursday Virtual Bible Study: We bring together youth to study the word of God as they Read, Examine, Apply, and Pray (REAP) through interactive discussions, held virtually every Thursday evening.

1. Drama & Poetry Sport: They use creative art to preach the word of God through spoken poetry, dances, oral narratives, and sign language mimes. They also host a monthly creative engagement activity targeting poets and spoken word artists within the cathedral.
2. Sports: They provide an enabling environment for evangelistic opportunities through different sports activities, training, and sports partnerships with other churches and institutions.
3. Dance: This ministry entails the use of dance as a form of worship and spiritual communication during church services, events, and outreach activities, to minister as well as evangelize to the youth. es, concerts, and other events.
4. Saints’ Kreative: Their primary mandate is setting up Sunday services church décor, as well as working in partnership with other ministries to complement their theme via room decor during special events.

1. Trinity Levites:  Tasked with ensuring that worship and services in the youth and young adult sectors run seamlessly by providing service leaders and scripture readers. The Levites also ensure that the services run following the Cathedral order and the set liturgy.
2. Trinity Prayer: They mobilize the church for communal prayers in different activities within the sector, including Keshas, Dawning with Destiny, and our weekly Wednesday morning (virtual) and evening (physical) prayers. They also receive and facilitate prayers from congregants together with our youth pastors.
3. Café 61: Tasked with welcoming visitors to the youth services and sharing with them information about the Cathedral, its services, and the overall ministry. We also handle hospitality for the Pastors and their visitors after the services.
4. Trinity Ushers: Mandated to welcome congregants to our services, ensuring they are seated orderly, and guiding their movements during the offertory and Holy Communion. They are also the primary go-to people for queries during and after the service from the congregation.
5. Media Ministry: They work on evangelizing and broadcasting the Gospel through available media channels, including projection during services, live streaming services, and content creation through shooting and editing announcements.
6. Saints’ Worship: They lead praise and worship sessions during Sunday services, concerts, and other events within and away from the Cathedral, as advised by the Assistant Music Director.
7. Trinity Choir: Lead the congregation in worship during the opening hymn and the offertory presentation in the 11:30 a.m. service. They also minister during both services during the Holy Communion service and other well-arranged classical and contemporary music pieces.
8. Campus Ministry: Its mandate is to nurture spiritual and Christian growth among students in all Universities and Colleges in and around Nairobi City by creating an open forum where they can discuss the issues facing the youth.
